| Etnobotánica | Botoncillo, Caraña, Cerillo, Leche amarillo (La savia se puede usar para pegar suelas de zapatos, también para impregnar mechas de antorchas (disminuyendo el humo y los olores, de la combustión), o como tinte para pieles. La savia también se emplea para tratar problemas dentales; tiene propiedades diuréticas y vulnerarias, y aplicada sobre furúnculos, facilita su drenaje. La infusión de hojas y corteza tiene actividad antiviral. En Las Guayanas utilizan la savia como cera y la aplican para tratar abscesos y eccemas. La infusión de la corteza la emplean como vulnerario, contra el afta y la diarrea. Las semillas las usan para eliminar hongos cutáneos) |
