22 Dec 06: To end 2006, 500 new photographs were added to the photo gallery. There are now already 17,600 photo’s of 1,323 plant species. Which represent 67% of species existing on station and 85% of our existing genera. Among them we can emphasize a liana Strychnos peckii found by the Sarapiquí River, and two orchids Epidendrum eburneum and Ornithocephalus bicornis. The first was found by the dinning hall, the second was found by the River Station . |

| Jan- Apr 06: 1,699 photos added (155 spp.), among them are few interesting native species totally new to La Selva flora: Peperomia vinasiana, Cupania cinerea, Octomeria costarricensis . |
19 Dec 05: Today were added 352 (43 species) photos added to the collection. We now have 14,707 images of 1,062 different species. This represents 55% of species and 74% of the genera on station. With emphasis in Salacia multiflora a new species found at La Selva by O. Vargas at LOC, 2200. A new Orchid Oeceoclades maculata was located at the station, found by Joshua Dash in one of the plots of the project ECOS, this species is quite rare in Costa Rica although in other places is considered a pest. Additionally, a trelet Unonopsis whose species is still yet to be determined . |
09 Aug 05: After a couple of months of intense work, today we added a new version of the list of plants at La Selva, which includes several improvements among them: Taxonomy history and species vouchers, also several exotic species found at the station were added to the list. Now there are145 families, 802 genera and 1,936 species. |

We added a great quantity, 1,384 images to the image gallery. Adding these images, the gallery represent 1,017 species and 575 genera, so the photo collection covers more than half of the species of La Selva include a photo. In this group several new native species were found, like: Cleome serrata and Miconia calvescens, including interesting photos of two undetermined species: Pleurothallis sp. A and Solanum sp. A. |
| 12 May 05: 237 photos were added to the collection. Among them beautiful and outstanding images of Capparis uniflora,
previously called Caparis discolor, now there are 12,854 images. |

As starting acomplishment in 2005, we added 743 photographs to the collection. Several species represent families that did not have any type ofi llustration, some of them are: Brassicaceae,
Connaraceae,
Dioscoreaceae,
Icacinaceae,
Onagraceae,

y Pontederiaceae,
Additionally, four new species were added: Cestrum
microccalyx, Dioscorea
hondurensis, Ludwigia
affinis and Connarus
costarricensis, the latter is a new genus to the station. In total there are 12,617 images representing 902 species (49%) and, 524 (68%) genera. |

04: To the end of the year 345 pictures were added. Including pictures of three new species Quararibea
pendula, Cryptarrhena

04: This stage included around 20 family treatments, totalling 50. 360 new photos were added to the image gallery. Most of the picture illustrate fruits and seeds. Thanks to Daniel Solano for his collaboration (REU program from OET-CRUSA). |

248 new images were added to the collection, two species in particular stand out from the rest. The first, Cordia
megalanthaa rare tree with flowers much larger than those in the same genus here at La Selva, the other Hybanthus
denticulatus never had been collected. It was found by Reinaldo Aguilar on Sendero Ribereño 1200 m; where it was a small population by the river . |

Great news today, the gallery now has 10 000 pictures!,
the last set includes many flowering orchids, like: Epidendrum
baumannianum and Sobralia
leucoxantha,
Additionally a new species for La Selva was collected by Joel Alvarado, Maxillaria
sanguinea. In total, 738 images were added, making the overall total 10,147, with 779 species. |

from Missouri Botanical Garden.
They have a large database with botanical information for the whole wide world. |

multicapitula ( Fab., Mimosoideae ), registrado en 2003
por Eugenio González (OTS) de sus parcelas, posteriormente
Reinaldo Aguilar lo recolectó al final del sendero Tres
Rios donde parece ser frecuente. Esta especie fue confundida con
Albizia
adinocephala ( Mimosoideae ) que se conoce solo del Pacífico.
